So these are my best 5 DLs, and I was wondering if there were any opinions about starters and where on the line they should go.  (I play mostly nickel & 5-2.)  I have John Brown as definitely starting nose tackle; probably Davis & Young as the starting DEs.  Not sure about Robbins or Williams though.  Just wondering what folks think....

At this point I believe  it doesn't matter . I believe the AI looks at them as a package . But when the update takes effect it may matter.

I believe there is some advantage to playing DE vs DT depending on their attributes.  Its not clear, other than there are specific positions called out in the depth charts.  For DT vs DE, I use the GUESS Ratings and Equations (and a bit of my own).  I choose the best two DEs first, then the best 2 DTs, then alternate until depth chart is complete.

Just eyballing those guys, I cannot tell which would be better at DE vs DT.  I do favor my slower guys at DT and my better GI/TKL guys at DE.

Those are the position specific ratings based on my own equations I've been tinkering with for years.

Based on those, I'd probably go Brown and Robbins at DT in the Nickle and bring Williams in as the 3rd DT in a 5-2, and put Davis and Young at DE.  But that's just me.  I run a 3-4 though so I'm not really that familiar with how to set up a 5-2...someone else who has used it more may think different.
