ESPSports.com No more wondering, bk41129 leaving Mississippi St. - takes job at Georgetown 04/03 11:01 AM

Well just took the job at Georgetown. I had a pretty good team coming back at Mississippi St. led by last seasons SEC Player of the Year Scott Roughton. Scott will be a Sr. in the upcoming season and probably was going to get POTY honors again. I am going to predict that he gets drafted. Man I wish he could transfer over to Georgetown.. The reason I took the job was because of two factors, baseline prestige and recruiting location. Mississippi State has a B baseline prestige and Georgetown has an A-. Recruiting at Mississippi St. was hard. There were probably 10 recruits within 10 miles and here at Georgetown there is 72 this season. The only problem is that if an ACC team wants a recruit they will probably get him! I'll post the team and history later after job changes are over.

Brian Ordonez got the nickname B O because its his initials and he smells like rotten eggs. Charles has a 100 perimeter, nough said. JP just sounds cool in my opinion. The Bell Air native, Kenneth, has become the "Prince of Bell Air".

Season 63 Recruiting Summary:
I try to get great defensive players and if I can a scorer also. I want at least 2 to 3 scorers. For guards I look for ATH, DEF, and SPD. PG need BH. For posts I look for ATH, DEF, and REB. I think SB is not worth it. If I need a scorer I will get LP. 

This season I got one post I really like! I wanted to get a PG but didn't get one. Instead I got 2 SGs that can play defense. They might not ever start but they will be decent backups.

Well season starts tomorrow! I think we will go 5-5 through non-con. This team isn't bad this year but we still wont be able  to compete for a Big East championship. Hopefully we can get into the PT. Well I will be starting 1 senior, 3 juniors, and 1 sophomore.

Season 63 Summary
 
     We had a lot better season than I expected. We were flirting with an At-Large bid but ended up the second team out. We lost some very close games and I think if we could have won one of those we could have been in the NT. I thought we were a NT caliber team this season. In the conference tournament we lost a close OT game to Rutgers coached by doomey. That was one of the many close losses we had this season. Well we made it to the PI as a 1 seed and played South Carolina coached by abhauser. We won 82-6 and advanced to play Weber State. We ended up losing another tight game. My team was just unable to finish out games this season. We lost 58-61. We missed two threes in the last 10 seconds to tie the game. We will have a lot returning for next season and I expect us to make it to the NT.

I think Mario will be a great guard as long as he doesn't play Mario Dailey (daily). He is already pretty athletic and he will improve a little more. Mario will be another great defender and will most likely be a PG in the future.
