It has become necessary for time slots in my opinion.

imladris12, some of the delay that is happening is just due to people living in different time zones - by 7 or 8 pm EST I am asleep for the night. chargingryno is somewhere in the US West, 2 or 3 times zones behind EST. 

So in many cases it is not people taking their time, but simply them being at work or not up yet, etc. 

But I agree that in a little while we should think about moving to time slots. 

I understand the time zone thing, however, I am running into a number of drafts that are taking three to four weeks to complete.  Simply, I am beginning to lose interest because it is taking so long.

Why is it drafts without timeslots always run too slowly for someone?
We started on Saturday with the first pick,
only have 4 rounds to do,
thought we were going to have to wait for 1 person to come back from an Australian vacation that would take a week,
don't really even have the league full with 16 owners, (we could still be waiting for the last one to join), 
a normal 25 player draft can last 2 weeks even with timeslots,
yet here we are 5 full days into a short 4 round draft with almost 1 and half rounds done and it is moving too slow.
Sorry, I'm not ready to go to a clock yet. I hate using proxys especially when 1 pick can be one/fourth of your team.
Let's be patient and we'll get there. There are a lot of teams to look through before making a pick.
