Isn't season 73 (the PT season) "recplaced" by my elite eight run last season?    How could my prestige go down?

Prestige is last 4 seasons. S74 is being replaced, why you didn't maintain an A+ based on your previous A+, I dunno.

I think it has to be some sort of combo of  not getting 20 wins, not being ranked,  having started at a low A+.   Or a mistake.

the game does weight deep runs pretty hard, but it weights W/L pretty hard, too. theres a huge difference between an elite 8 as a 14 seed and an elite 8 as a 1-2 seed (see season 75). if you lost in the 1st or 2nd round, you'd probably have fallen to an A-. you really probably dropped much less than a whole third of a grade - your A is probably very good and your A+ was definitely very low.

That makes sense.

only other thing I could add to what gillispie said..... would be if conference baseline prestige changed.

Is there conference baseline prestige in D2?

There is conference prestige but I dont think it affects team prestige.

Those two second round finishes the previous two seasons may have affected it - you didn't drop then, but the cumulative effect came into play even though you made elite 8 this last season. That's my guess, anyway.

Definitely the 18 wins.  WIS thinks a good record is equally important to a NT run. I've seen teams with 28 wins and an SOS of 340 lose in the first round and improve a full letter in prestige.

According to the Knowledge Base (which is what customet support sent me to) all that matters in D2 is:

Winning Percentage
SOS
Tournament Success
Previous Prestige

So apparently, my 18-13 record was a big enough "penalty" to offset an Elite Eight appearance and a SOS of 1.

I guess it really doesn't matter, I don't need WIS to tell me I am an A+ program.  I am good enough, smart enough and gosh darn it people like me.
