So the Jays still have 136 games to turn their season around. But it won't happen. Why the $%?& did the JAys hired Gibbons back. He is about the worst coach they could have hired.
He owuld have found a way to make the 192's Yankees a mediocre team.
I think Alex was trying to do what the Yankees did with Torre (and no, I'm not saying Gibbons is as good as Torre when it comes to managing).
With all the trades they made in the offseason, they had a team of "superstars". When you have a team like that, you want a laid back manager who is going to sit back and let his team play and only make decisions when he has to. Unfortunately, injuries and some poor play have necessitated that Gibbons make a lot more decisions than was intended, and it's exposed him as an average manager at best.
