dodgebob, I understand. My daughter is growing up in Italy and watches cartoons etc. in both languages. But she has seen the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy of films in English with me.
But she sings nursery rhymes in Italian mostly, and knows the names of a lot of characters of things in Italian. So far we have not gotten to Star Trek and Star Wars, so there is time.
She can hit a baseball though, knows we root for the Yankees and can hit a ball at a young age. But most of all, she has a missile launcher for a pitching arm. I have tried to explain to her Italian mother that in enlightened countries women play professional sports, someone has to be the first female pitcher in MLB etc.
So far it is still a tough sell.
