Before recruiting starts, if a transfer sends you a message indicating that he is interested in you, what exactly does that mean?  Does the recruit contact multiple schools?  Do said schools have any advantage in recruiting them?  Your insight would be valuable

I think he contacts several nearby schools.   I may be wrong, but I don't think there's any advantage to being contacted by a recruit

One of the reasons I ask is that this guy seems to be a recruit that could not normally pull down, or even get the time of day from.
