Agreed. WIS needs to just make whatever decisions are still up in the air, whatever they may be. Then they need to sit down, and take a long hard look at all the site rules and Clean them up to where the rules are clear and to the point. I do not mean that they need to write new rules, just that they have a set of values they want and a set of values they do not want and those should be clearly indicated, along with whatever punishment will result from breaking the rules. Then they need to enforce those rules cleanly across the board, no exceptions.
What they do not need to do is try and cover all the grey areas, every situation is going to be different, even if a similar situation has occurred before. When you try to cover all they grey areas, you get a general lack of clarity and that's the last thing we need. Start with a clear list of things not to be done, enforce those consistently and fairly. Going forward, address each new concern as it arises -- in a clear, clean consistent manner. Amend rules as needed, but always with the idea that they be clear and to the point.
Yes, there may be some who leave, but for those who stay and for those yet to come, the rules and the consequences of breaking them will be up front for all to see.
