Rookies not named Mike Trout tend to not collect many Gold Gloves.  Chances are even fewer when that rookie is hitting near or below the Mendoza line.

Florimon makes some spectacular plays, but still boots too many easy ones to be a serious threat this season.

I do like both of their chances down the road though.

Very true that it's difficult for a rookie to win a gold glove, especially when their sticks are light.

Concerning Florimon, hasn't made an error since April 26... A / A+ at the moment. Hicks A+ / A+.

I'm not certain but maybe the dWAR total isn't just dWAR at 2nd base but total dWAR for each player. The others have spent some time at SS and SS carries a higher positional adjustment. That's a guess, though. Which site is it from?

Well, Pedroia didn't spend any time at SS but he has more playing time so that's why his dWAR is higher. For the others, it is their total dWAR, not just 2nd base dWAR.
