On my team I just recruited Poplaski and he was avg potential for athleticism but after my first exhibition it changed to red without improving a point. Why is this?

All ratings that you see on player cards are actually decimals that have been rounded to the nearest whole number. So if your guy was at the very lowest end of the average spectrum, he many have improved the decimal places needed to shift from average to low without causing the rating number to change.

So he will still improve eight points?

6 or 7 points, I'm not 100 % sure which.

I am fairly certain 6 points is the top of low

That sucks I was hopeing to get it above 50
