If I'm not mistaken, you need to be considered before they sign.

I've had it happen in a couple very rare instances that I was receiving the "you're in front" message but didn't have the kid showing. Try a single HV/SV (whatever you have the cash for given the kid's distance from you) as both times all I had to do was give a small extra nudge and he was considering the next cycle and signed the one following.
