What's up with the work ethic with this batch of recruits. Tons of guys under 25 in WE

Haven't really noticed all that many under 25 but I'm in D2. Have seen a few with 1 WE. Most are around 30 that I'm seeing which is still bad, but yeah...

I'm seeing the same thing in D3 chew chad...I was just thinking that this morning

I've noticed where I recruit, in the Northeast, there are also an unusual amount of recruits in DII Rupp w/ low WEs. It's not like they all are though, so I'm sure it's just randomness. I did notice it before I read this post though.

This thread got me curious so I decided to do a little checking. I have not run these numbers previously so I cannot say whether this is average or abnormal. I did find the variations quite interesting.

D3 - 765 total recruits, 114 with WE below 25, 14.9% -- 44 with WE above 75%

D2 - 1103 total recruits, 121 with WE below 25, 11.0% -- 121 with WE above 75%

D1 - 1361 total recruits, 76 with WE below 25, 5.6% -- 219 with WE above 75%

I wasn't happy to see this thread when i realized it was talking about Rupp. I don't normally see low work ethic kids since I limit my screen to showing only people with 30+. That said, this batch did result in probably 10-15 percent fewer kids making my initial cutoff criteria for contacting on the first cycle. Probably just a randomness thing...I expect to be tripping over a lot of folks on the recruiting trail.
