A portion of the money that you spent on him will be carried forward to next season as recruiting credit (check the Summary under the Recruiting tab...it should show the player and a dollar value that's probably different from what you spent on him during recruiting). The drawback, of course, is that the player might choose to attend a JUCO in the opposite corner of the country from where you are, making recruiting him next season a financial impossibility.
