It seems like open leagues are very superstar-driven. Almost every great team I have seen had some combination of Wilt, Jordan, or LeBron. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with balanced teams without a superstar. I'm thinking of running a team similar to this in an OL:

Other than the high foul rate and middling free throw shooting, this appears to be a very balanced, well-built team. But no player has a salary above $6.7 million. What is everyone think? This is not necessarily a request to rate my time, just a proof of concept. I'm wondering if anyone has had success running a similar team.
