The DDL is currently 'FULL'. But any interested owner should leave their name in case we get a late cancelation. Names will be kept for first pick of any open spots in DDL#3 - The 90's. Sometime in Oct.  Thx - smokey

Guy's that was a fantastic DDL#1! Sky told me he's never had to put that much work into any 3 leagues.(lol) I didn't make my final adjustment until 55 games in..deep. I worked though at least 12 variations of my rotation and adjusted player times and balance to the minute, for max output. Literally if I changed a single minute my output would suffer. found that out the hard way a couple of times. (lol) I've never had so much work and fun coaching a team. This is truly a coach's league and I really like that aspect.

Man that was a tough choice for me for my first pick at #5.  McAdoo or Chamberlain.  Went with Mac because I just couldn't go with a 1st pick whose usage was under 15 and shot 50% from the line.  Felt I just needed a big time scorer with my first pick, considering the small amount of big time scorers in the 70's.  Artis was a consideration too with that FG % but I wasn't thrilled with his 4.0 TOPG.  I've used McAdoo in open leagues before with not a lot of success, but hoping things might be differernt in a 70's specific league.

What would the rest of you done?

i had a top 6 and was hoping someone would pick someone off my board and i think husker did it with hayes. i would have picked gilmore though amerk

I think it's close but I may have gone with the 71-72 version of Wilt who offers some scoring and brings a lot of other things to the table. Had the same dilemma with Issel and Lanier. May have been wrong going with the higher scoring Issel because Lanier has more to his game. Issel's > minutes also swayed me. Would like to be able to re-think that choice.

i actually think youre wrong about the amount of big time scorers....the efg% for this decade doesnt seem to be that high so a 48-52 guy is pretty solid...lots of those guys...especially at sg...i would have went with wilt but you cant go wrong either way...both are great starting pieces

Hey amerk, you where saying you didnt like Gilmore's FG%. Depending on the rest of the team one of these Gilmores are going to be used.  What's wrong with the eFG?

I do anticipate several of us scrambling to get enough usage in later rounds, but I had Gilmore in my top 4.

Amerk that's a great pick, personally I would love to give the '72' Wilt a try, and this league is the prefect place to do it. A low usage Wilt, with his boards and ast, and a high usage PF would work great. I had McAdoo right behind A-train on my list. I was hoping 2 members would pick off the $$$ trail and back Lanier up to me..fat chance. But Dave Cowens is similar in many respects to Lanier, plus I get to park a def93 in the hole, considering the impact of the big guy's in the 70's a real plus. Until you play in a era draft it's hard to understand that players not usually used alot in WIS open leagues are gold mines in the decade draft leagues. McAdoo will have a solid impact in this league.
