Wonbdering if anybody can answer this.  Have had a trade proposed to me where one of the players he wants to send me is currently in AAA and has no options left (he's kind of "the player to be named later").   I don't really want him on the big league team right now.......can I assign him to AAA if I take the trade?

You cannot unless he clears waivers after you trade for him.

Which also means you'll need to assign him to your ML roster before you can do that.

You can waive unassigned players.
