A few guys are not available for playoff line up Topic

And I had them on the 40-man prior to roster expansion. Ricardo Morales was a starter all year but was on disabled list when the roster expansion occurred. This wouldn't disqualify would it? I'm just confused because both of my pinch runners and my starting 3b are not available.

Again, I had all 3 guys, Mike Rhodes, Geoff Lansing, and Ricardo Morales all on the 40-man all year long.

Only the 25 guys who were on the active roster at the time of roster expansion are automatically on your playoff roster.  Anybody else who was on the 40-man roster, or was on the 60-day DL at the time, should be eligible to be on the roster.

Assuming your playoff series has not yet started, you should be able to add and remove eligible players from your playoff roster.

Disabled list at the time of roster expansion, because he's not on your 25 at the time, does keep him off the playoff roster.

Great, another mistake learned the hard way

I think most of us learned the DL one the hard way.

Just for the sake of clarity, this doesn't apply to the 15-day DL (I can't speak with certainty to the 60-day).

I suspect the difference (if there is one) is because the 60-day DL actually frees up a spot on the 40-man roster, while the player on the 15-day DL still occupies one of the 40 slots.

And Morales was only on the DL for one week (real time) so should still be eligible.

If you are on the GM Office tab and you look at the Status Info display, what does it say under Playoff Roster for him?

it says eligible

While a guy on the 60-day DL opens up a spot on the 40, I believe that if he comes off the 60-day DL before the playoffs he is still playoff eligible.  I'm pretty sure that happened to me in a recent season.

In essense, if you place a guy who is on the 40 on the DL60, your 40 becomes a 41.  But to take him off the DL60, you would have to bring the 41 back down to 40 by removing somebody else.

Yes, he was on the 15-day during the roster expansion, not 60

Looks like you've got a first-round bye.  You should be able to add him to your playoff 25 roster before the start of the second round (you can adjust your playoff roster between rounds).

No harm done.

Tec, you are right, I was able to use the Playoff Add command and now he's available. Thanks man.

Excellent. Good luck in the playoffs!

Since this is my thread, and it has ended, I just want to ask you guys another quick question regarding playoffs, does fatigue come into play with batting or just fielding (possibly)/injiury chance. Once I knew I had playoffs clinched I just rested my entire bench, I'm just curious what the concensus is on fatigue.
