We are starting up a challenge with the Northern Sun and the South Atlantic Conference in DII Rockne to add a little fun and competition for our respective conferences.

Each owner interested in participating will keep week 1 of the next season's non-conference schedule open for the challenge the next year.

The final regular season standings will have the human owned teams matched up from conference champion down to 5th place based on record with WIS rankings as a tie breaker.

Both conferences are pretty competitive - the Northern Sun got in 5 teams last year and the SAC got in 4 (and if one of our newer owners had scheduled easier could have possible tied the feat).

Looking forward to the first year of this competition.  We had a great challenge with the CIAA but they lost 3 owners and were down to 2 humans left.

This is a way to have some fun and add some spice to the game.  By the way David Elliot says hi!

Heading into season 93 the South Atlantic Conference was at a crossroads.  Their annual match-up was with the CIAA which had fallen into disrepair with only JJL58 and kdaughtry left as owners.  Chuck Neinas was consulted and he recommended moving the challenge to another conference.  Flipdog agreed and cast the critical vote to challenge the Northern Sun.

The Northern Sun got in 5 teams to the playoffs last season and are the top rated conference by the GUESS Reports with a 58.71 rating - which beat out the SAC with a 58.29 this season - however the SAC lost an owner during recruiting and Carson-Newman went dark and took the 143rd ranked class with the help of their terrible assistant coach.

The Northern Sun was won again by CrunkRhinos at Minnesota State Morehead while clememp shocked the SAC with an improbable run through a very tough Mars Hill team coached by flipdog0 to play another upstart team in West Virginia Tech coached by MJRyan. 

Match Ups, Tusculum vs Minnesota Morehead, Mars Hill vs Minnesota Crookston, Shepherd v Charleston, WV Tech v Winona, Carson Newman vs. WV State.  Unfortunately Carson Newman is going sim it appears as Johnson has abandoned his team since recruiting.  He left the cupboard with some talent but took some sims.  A DIII coach looking for a good opportunity would easily be able to start cutting the scholarships of those poor bastards and get the team back into contention quickly.

Which division will reign supreme?  The SAC has one hand tied behind their back with the forfeit...

Big match today in the Northern Sun with CrunkRhinos with MSUM facing TomJoad with Lock Haven.  This will be an interesting game...
