Draft board updated to here. Keeper list updated through end of round 6. I show two teams full, Seapilots and Logain. I show two teams needing 2 picks each, all3 and thomcat. Everyone else needs 1 pick. If this is incorrect, please let me know. I will be posting rosters between tomorrow and Sunday.

When you get your keepers, please post the number of IR picks you need (guys with a missing season or less than 500 minutes) and who they are. These players will stay on your roster. They are just ineligible to be used this season. When everyone has this posted, we will have a second, shorter draft where we fill out our rosters if we need any replacements. The players drafted in this phase are automatically released at the end of the season.

I'm torn on the use of rookies. Is there a way to control the quality of the rookies?

You can possibly get admin to set rookies to a certain level.

No rookies please. Everyone should have plenty of minutes to go around. That is unless you are really going for that random as possible feel.

I suspect that the Chili typically have around 24K minutes and at worst case about 15K minutes (ooh that be ugly).
The odds of the latter are well over 1,000,000 to 1.
Probably about a 90% chance that I'll have at least one player with low minutes, and 10-20% for two clunkers.  
I'd guess I'm pretty typical in this regard.

When you create the league, you will be given the option to use rookies.  Choose no.  Absolutely, positively, no way in hell, should rookies even be a part of the sim in general, let alone a theme.

Also, to clarify:  you do not have to IR a guy if he plays less than 500 minutes, correct?  That is just an available option in case you are way low on minutes.

I really don't want to use rookies, so I'm glad to hear that echoed.

Sly, you are correct, if you get a season of sub 500 minutes, you could keep the guy.

I know this is an hour early but my in-laws are in town and I have to sneak away when I can. Explaining sim league basketball to my father-in-law is not something I want to attempt.
