Both jobs are open in Allen's North Atlantic conference.  The conference has been the best D3 conference in the Allen world for something like the past five years.  That's calendar years.  The North Atlantic has been the top conference for 30+ seasons.

Recently, the conference has been better than ever.  In the past 15 seasons, the North Atlantic has had 19 of the 30 teams in the National Championship game and has won 9 titles.  It's not just two teams dominating.  Eight different NAC teams have made it to the title game and four teams have won championships.

Becker is at C- prestige and Salem State is at C+.  But both programs are better than what the prestige indicates.  The North Atlantic has an annoying habit of taking a NT team or two each season and sending them to the PIT because the conference competition is so intense that one team ends up drawing the short end of the stick and taking too many losses that wouldn't happen in any other conference.

That Salem team is my old team. I guarantee they don't suck. Instead of flapping your gums trevor take the job and prove you can do better...

Well then pickup the ****** team then, and I'll carry on with my A+ D2 Mount Olive team that just came off an NC Championship Game loss and got the #5 recruiting class...my team's better than that ****, that's a step down.

One last thing...I know you're plugging your conf here, but have you seen John Carroll and Suffolk?

colonels... If you are content at your D2 squad than this post isn't for you. If you can't recruit with C+ prestige at D3 you are pretty bad at this game.

colonels19 -- you were right to call me out.  I did a sloppy job in my post that created this thread.  What I was trying to say, but did a very poor job of doing, was that if you are looking to join a D3 world and are wanting to STAY in D3, the two jobs that opened up in the Allen North Atlantic are about as good as it gets.

You are 100% correct to point that that John Carroll and Suffolk, among others, are much better teams to take over if one is looking to quickly climb the ranks.  You made some really smart points.

My apologies for being rather inarticulate in trying to describe why I think coaches might want to take a look at the Becker and Salem State jobs.

Salem State is gone.  Becker still remains.  Not much time to take it.

For the record, I am disappointed nobody took over Suffolk, I just left after 20 seasons to try my hand at D2. I had a lot of fun in the Great NE and its hard to leave that first team! Hopefully someone takes them over next year.
