2013 Contraction League: DRAFT COMPLETED! Topic

In order to lighten the mood, everyone check out my pick of the Houston Astros.

I'm digging the challenge

That's definitely gonna be a challange!!  I commend you for that.

PG13, whatever you're smokin', I want some of that! You'll have dug a 20-game hole one third into the season.

The last 2 teams must be AL as a result.

Houston is in the AL now.  Or are we going old school with the contraction and putting them back in the NL?
10/18/2013 2:25 PM
Whoops, you're right. 1 AL and 1 NL remain.

Steve, I don't have a single sitemail from you after the league filled. Not one. Don't even believe I have one at any point before that. Perhaps you were forgetting the double "I?" I'd love it, if since I'm full of it, you would post a screenshot or something of the sort?

I'll take Tampa Bay

This means Conansdad must take an NL team.

Remember, you don't have anyone who finished the season elsewhere, like Bud Norris, who finished with Baltimore.

COLORADO for me.

What if the player was traded to a team that wasn't picked?  Does his original team retain the rights or does he become part of the pool?

10/18/2013 8:58 PM
I believe that they are in the pool...

If yanks arent picked, soriano becomes a free agent to be drafted. He does not go back to the cubs
10/19/2013 5:15 AM
Doesn't even matter in that case since the Yankees and the Cubs were both unclaimed. However, Alberto Callaspo, who was traded from Anaheim to Oakland in 2013, is a free agent here.
