World Alexander wants 7 for S27 Topic

My fellow owners and I are looking for 7 new owners to join us for season 27 in World Alexander. We have a fun, lively world with plenty of World Chat. We're a mixture of old and new blood, with a handful of original owners who've been here since the beginning. There's a minimum win requirement of 53 games a season, which should be easily attainable if you field a ML quality team and checkin on a regular basis. Any team losing more than 110 games in a season will have it's owner put up for a vote to all returning owners as to if he/she will be allowed to return. If you might be interested, sitemail me and I will give you more details.

Here's a look at the available AL teams...

AL North
Former Detroit Tigers (66-96, 3rd place in AL North)
Best ML players: C C.C. Winston, SP Daisuke Kimura and SP Quilvio Manuel.

Six seasons removed from a string of seven out of 8 first place finishes, this team is probably in need of a bit of a rebuild. There's a few solid ML pieces that could be sold off, if you so choose. There's some really good pitching on this club. What it lacks is offense.

AL East
Former Buffalo Beer Drinkers and Wing Eaters (81-81, 2nd place in AL East)
Best ML players: CL Charlie West, RP Dana Allen, RP Bret Tam

This team has an outstanding young bullpen, leading to a respectable .500 finish last year. This is another team though that could use some help at the plate, as their aren't many outstanding hitters on this club to speak of. Even with 81 wins they finished a distant 2nd to the mighty Columbus franchise though, so it might be a franchise best continuing on the rebuilding path.

On the available NL side...

NL North
Former New York Black Sox (68-94, 3rd place in NL North)
Best ML players: C Jorel Russell, RP Bob Miller, CF Timo Workman

Last season saw these Black Sox go through a scandal of their own, as the original owner left town in the night and stopped cutting the checks. Luckily a good replacement stepped in, and the team was able to finish 3rd. This is another rebuilding club that has been collecting some talent in the minors, so brighter days are ahead.

NL South
Former Huntington Hurricanes (65-97, 3rd place in NL South)
Best players: C Santiago Uribe, 1B Hades Harper, RP Horacio Rosado

The Hurricanes didn't have the greatest of seasons last year, looking more like a weak Tropical Depression by the time it was all said and done. If you could add some starters to this club you might have a shot at a wildcard, or who knows....

Former Richmond Rattlers (59-103, 4th place in NL South)
Best Players: LF Tommy Dempster, SP Sandy Cunningham, RP James Ramirez

There's more talent on this team than the records show. Cunningham is an absolute stud SP, and with the right moves this team is a canidate for having the biggest turnaround next year.
