except, with the splits, when you get to the top of the draft there will be lots of great players and lots of options remaining on which team you can select.  This way, if someone uses a crappy team (Seattle Pilots anyone?) its because they want to, not because there arent any better options.
No one would ever use the Seattle Pilots because it is the only team left.  There are no shortage of teams, unsplit with 8-10 quality picks, that could  play a starting role on a team.  The problem is a lack of franchises that can support 24 picks.

I kind of agree with SpotSell because if you are picking low, when it is finally your turn to call out a team you may be using the Montreal Expos and you can make a strong case that the 24th best Yankee is better than best Expo.

Not really much difference in picking first in the first round and last in the first round.

I didn't play last time, but I think this is a very wise statement.

I believe SpotSell has a point...but that point could be ameliorated by randomizing the round order.

the intent here was to give folks at the bottom more good options to choose from by expanding the team options by 11 more team choices...if the front end is too weak, we could push the front end year back to 1959 or 1969 in future versions. 

Plus with one Reverse per player per Round- if a split team choice is considered too watered down - a player can use a Reverse 10-12 picks or so into the Round...I'd rather have a Split team to choose from then the Milwaukee Braves.  Everything is always open for tweaks & I'd be more than happy to have someone else run Season 3...  my opion is just one opinion  :-))  Cheers & Good Luck, everyone !

The original intent of this format was that there is not great players deep in every round because this is UNO. When an UNO player chooses a round the objectives are to get a good player and even better if there are few good players after that to force others to think and possibly have take a million dollar scrub. The intent is not for everyone to have great players or this is just a unique player league.

I agree with Daddyzander. I think we will have more options when we get to pick. I vote for not changing the years since the draft has started.

I think the split will help us at the bottom. 2 good splits for many teams. Should be better for getting a strong player at the top.
