I have moved to D1 within the past two seasons in one of my Worlds, and getting ready for recruiting.  A human has just taken over my old D2 squad and cut one of my players that I signed as a drop down and Sim did not utilize last season.  If I pursue him, do I have any advantage with him at all since I recruited him at a lower level?

Not that this would be a good plan, but he had several High/High potential areas when I signed him and he could still be a role player.  Any thoughts?

No impact.  WOuld be cool but is not built into the game

like mully says, no impact, but as a D 1 school you'd probably be able to sign him (unless a bigger fish wants him to ride their bench instead of yours...)
