Does a scouting trip contribute to the recruiting effort you put into a recruit just like a campus visit would or is it solely for informational purposes?

Most think 3 ST is worth about 1 HV.  That said, a ST used to pull a kid down is worth far less than a ST for a kid that immediately recruitable.
