will this guy be the best d2 player of all time? Topic

No, and not really close. But he'll be a D2 starter and an elite defender.

Your kid has very little left in Ath, under 18 in D, nothing left in Reb/SB/LP. Looks like he's not going to come near that number.
That's sort of a ridiuclous comment. He has very little left in ath/def because he's already closing in on 100. If he doesn't get better, it's because he's already the best at those.

As for the other ratings, we have no idea where practice time is going.

Frankly, unless we know potentials, there's no way for any of us to know the answer on this guy.

Best D2 player I remember seeing, also left after his junior year. Not sure of his ratings but he looked like a BCS big man from what I remember, maybe jmharlow has his ratings somewhere.

You're kidding, right?

i should have been more clear:

he is low in only rebounding and sb (both of which he is 0 in)

he is high in speed, perimeter, and bh. judging by his growth in per vs bh, i'd say he's basically still high/high in perimeter.

average in the rest.

i'd project him at:
athleticism: 98 (..100 maybe?)
speed: 66 (conservative)
defense: 100 (he was 77 and high coming in)
perimeter: 70 (also pretty conservative)
bh: 80
passing: 70

all you guys atlking about overall ratings and how he's not even close need to have your heads examined

Honestly... that skill set isn't that close.  Like I said, he may have a shot to be the best player in his world for a year or two, if there aren't a lot of other stud players.  But a perimeter shooter with only 70 speed is not an uber-elite player.

To all...would you rather have this guy http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=2490716

or whatever that guy turns out to be.

Eh,  with your track record you're certainly doing something right!

im assuming here you are considering this guy to be a sg? hes a great sg, that can't be denied - but there have been great sgs in this era with 90+ spd/per who still had strong ath/def. not that good, but the overall package was more appealing IMO. this guy is great though. i take back what i said about not even being willing to sign him in the olden days, i considered him as a 3, and also, not with the same lofty projections (guess i could have assumed it was like, all high high, but without that being listed, i didnt). nice signing for sure

Not even the best current D2 player, in terms of where he will peak.  This guy is better:

I currently have the highest rated D2 player in Naismith in John Morris who is an 845 PF only 12 games into his senior season.  He should finish north of 850-860 I would guess.

He's a really good D2 player. If I had a D2 team, I'd be happy to have him -- and I have high standards. But definitely not an all-timer.
