Who would you have lead off Garko or Vargas (assuming I have power hitters in 3-6 spots) coming up after them? or would you put them somewhere else? If so where?

Vargas.   Garko would bat later(like 5-9 for me) hopefully you have better options for 2-4.

Is Garko not a good hitter? I've always thought his MLB batting stats are below where they should be based on his ratings, but I'm still trying to figure out how to interpret ratings properly, so maybe his stats are right where they should be.

I think hes around a .825 ops type of guy 

What should the OPS % be for the spots in the batting order? Isn't .825 pretty good? Not superstar level but good right?

I figured Garko would be good in the #2 spot since he isn't a premier power hitter, and I'd put power hitters in the 3-6 spots.

1) Isn't this backwards?  Garko hits righty, Vargas hits lefty?
2) I'd bat Vargas leadoff both ways.  Garko hits lefties very well and can bat 2nd against them, but a typical championship team would have somebody a little better in the 2-hole against RHP.
3) That said, these are by far the two best hitters in your organization right now, so unless you're going to drop a TON of $$ in the FA market, they should just hit 1-2 all the time, unless you want Garko to hit 3 or 4 or something.
