would be cool to know which BCS schools never won, if any, too

The most I have seen by one D1 team in one world is Connecticut in Tark, which has won 11 National Championships. I was also surprised to see St. Bonaventure won 6 National Championships, although I bet that was before baseline prestige.

that are in the a10 with a b- which is plenty to win that many championships. once you get prestige up to an a/a+ baseline doesnt matter if you are a really good coach, my dominant d1 programs early in my days where i won 5/9 were b- and b (the first was even won on a C prestige recruited team. i didnt even really recruit them myself but i think that makes it harder, in this case). that was lostmyth at st bon, who is not really disputed (as far as i know) as the best d1 recruiter of all time. so that helps :)

cool list! does that count sims when the worlds were empty?
10/30/2013 10:11 AM
ive been trying to find a bcs school not on the list but failing... i figured hawaii was my best bet but no dice
10/30/2013 10:12 AM
the gap between UNC and Duke is fairly surprising given how exactly equal footing they are on. i wonder if there are just more favorable views of UNC in general, so the top coaches to make it to the top first picked them up and established them earlier? and maybe more people are willing to leave established programs for them? or something like that?
10/30/2013 10:14 AM
A bit satisfying to my ego that I'm the only coach to ever win a title at West Virginia and did it 2x! Lol. Also glad I could put the 30th championship in the books for UNC.
10/30/2013 10:19 AM
The way I got the list was going to each world and looking at School Stats, then National Championships. I now have all 10 worlds for the list that shows how many worlds each team has won a championship in. No team has won one in all 10 worlds. Three teams have won at least one championship in 9 of the 10 worlds.
10/30/2013 5:31 PM
Jeez, UC has 5 and OSU only 1, c'mon!!!!
10/30/2013 5:42 PM
Cincinnati has 6 and OSU has 2 now. I added the final two worlds in, so the lists are now complete and accurate.

Ah cool, well that's still lame, stinkin' Buckeyes

I found one - Fresno State - The have never won a NT in any world. This is the only Big 6 school that has not won a championship in any world.

I added the Miami (FL) 16th title this morning.
