DL and playoff roster. Topic

I have a pitcher that got hurt and will be out 36 days.
There are 32 days left in the regular season, so he will be ready sometime in the middle of round 1 of the playoffs. 
I had to put him on the 15 day to make room for a replacement, but now I wonder...

Since Roster Expansion and Playoff Roster Set date is Saturday, will he even be available to be on the playoff roster while on the DL?

Yes as he's still on the 40.

So as long as I don't "remove from playoff roster" he should still remain on it?

No, if he's on the DL, he won't be on the playoff roster.  You'll have to add him.

But you are saying he CAN be added even while remaining on the DL, because he's still on the 40.
Is that correct?
