I know this has been discussed in multiple threads, but I haven't been able to find an answer.  There may not be a definite answer, as I understand that has been a common answer lately.

Will a Safety or Free Safety get coverage on RB/TE's or are they "floaters/roamers"? - My thought is yes, but probably not very effective at breaking the play up

I am playing around with my defense and have always liked 3-4 for the flexibility, but not sure what the game settings are or mean.

dcravey, I just finished up my season in Wilkinson with a 3-4.  I just implemented it last season (last season of 2.0).  I had some success with that.

I THINK the safeties are "floaters"....but their overall positioning changes based on your settings for Run/pass and if in pass, short, med, deep.

Its really a matter of where the "zones" are vs which player actually owns coverage in a certain zone.
