In his 34 starts, Varmolov has had under 26 saves just 7 times. He's had 26 three times, though, and 25 two. He actually had 25 saves his start before last.

So if Varmolov has 26 or more saves tonight, regardless of what Markov does, then Slytherin and Hufflepuff are over.

Belov and Datsyuk also play for Gryffindor tonight.

Dats will get an goal and an assist

Turns out I am still up.

I have a feeling that the people who voted for usfbully are going to be surprised if ghutton9 goes home.

Of course, the people who voted for ghutton9 are going to be surprised if usfbully goes

Turns out they are both surprised.

ARFY IS GOING HOME.

Just kidding. He's not in this tribe.

4 votes for usfbully
6 votes for ghutton9

ghutton9 is eliminated.

We have a comedian on our hands!

Markov has an assist, so if Varmalov get 16 or more saves, they are both over now.
1/16/2014 8:54 PM
Only has 11 saves through 2 periods...

Planned on 5 points from ovi and markov. Nailed that...46 saves I did not anticipate. .

By losing the first tiebreaker, Slytherin is voting. Ravenclaw wins, largely because Hiller got the flu

Votes due by 8 tonight.

1/17/2014 5:30 AM
Ravenclaw is so intent on winning, they used chemical weapons to make Hiller too ill to play.

As for Hufflepuff, we're #3! We're #3!!!

Challenge #9: CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES LINE MOVING EXTRAVAGANZA

So here's the deal. There are four lines associated with the NFC and AFC Title games.

In the NFC
Seattle is favored by 3.5 over San Francisco
The Over/Under is 39.5

In the AFC
Denver is favored by 5.5 over New England
The Over/Under is 55.5

You are to pick all four. Each bet is worth 20 points.

Here's the catch.

You can move each line up to 19.5 points in either direction. If you move it to give you an advantage in what you bet, then you get rewarded less for your bet equal to the amount you moved the line. If you move the line to your disadvantage, then you gain reward equal to how far you moved the line.

So, If you bet Seattle to cover and leave the line at 3.5, then you stand to win 20 points if Seattle wins by more than that.
If you bet Seattle and move the line 7 points so that San Francisco is now favored by 3.5, then you can win 13 if Seattle covers
If you bet Seattle and the line 2.5 points so that Seattle is favored by 6, then you can win 22.5 if Seattle covers

All pushes are losses.

Tiebreaker #1: Catches by Michael Crabtree
Tiebreaker #2: Carries by Lagarette Blount
Tiebreaker #3: First to get it to me

Due 3 p.m. EST Sunday, even if you are voting today.

Ravenclaw advantage: The first point moving each line to your advantage doesn't cost you. If you move a line at least 5 points against you, it is worth an extra two points (can only get this bonus once).

Is this a team challenge or an individual challenge?

Advantage for Ravenclaw?

Dubs - you mentioned the over/unders in the beginning, so I am slightly confused. Do the over/unders play any part in this? The 20 points per game is strictly based on the W/L spreads?
