MLB REPLAY: 1901-: Switched to MLB forum! Topic

Hey guys-
I've got a lot of spare time on my hands... I have already started a football tournament and am trying to tweak it a little to make it easier. I want to do something. I have experimented with many concepts. Now, YOU may get to decide what I do! Feel free to give a suggestion! If you do not understand feel free to sitemail me or ask your question in the forum.

Team Overviews
Orioles-
Everbody's hitting over .300 exept Wilbert Robinson, who was hurt, and John McGraw watch is on. That dude is amazing. On the bench they have got multiple 3+ HR hitters. And then you've got #1 Pitcher Of The Year candidate Harry Howell (Yes, you heard it here first), of the 2.36 ERA and 12-2 record. This team is overwhelming AL favorites.
A's-
Nap Lajoie is "only" hitting .381 for them. Luckily, Harry Davis is hitting a matching .381 and 3 HR. What a ******** ***** show. The pitching really has nobody "in charge" but the "leader" is Chick Fraser with 3.17 and 9-6. And another name I reconize, Eddie Plank, is 3.83 and 7-6; he's not getting great support. The other name I reconize is Bill Bernhard. He's doing OK in the 2 pitcher spot, 4.43 and he is 8-5.
Brewers-
Their lineup is basically a bunch of nobodys doing something. They are like the Oakland A's, with a 1900's twist. And, with more money. Much more money. The only name I reconize in their lineup is Hugh Duffy in the 3 hole, who's doing pretty darn well with .355 and a HR and 31 RBIs. Other main contributors are John Anderson, Bill Hallman, and the power source is Ham Patterson. And a nomination for Worst Player Of the Year- Jimmy Burke, about the only player in the league with a average under .200. .158. Ouch. The pitching is basically Pink Hawley and Tully Sparks, Hawley with 2.73 and 10-4, and Sparks, not to be outdone, 2.10 and a 9-2 record. But other than that they have absolutely no depth, so they may stumble down the stretch.
Americans-
Their lineup is real nice but the one thing I notice is Jimmy Collins "only" hitting .307. But Patsy Dougherty is making up for that with a .347 average and 2 HR, AND 49 RBI. And then there was Cy Young. He's only 34 so there is still time for him to dominate. Right now he's at 2.93 and is 9-5. And nobody else has an ERA under 4.
Blues-
It's Blues for their top 4 hitters, none have an average over .289, or 28 RBI. And then you have 22 year old Erve Beck, who's sitting in the 6 spot and hitting .365. The rest of the lineup is pretty bad, but it sparkles compared to its pitching. The only pitcher who is any good is 21 year old sensation Earl Moore, who has a 2.85 ERA and has the best rating of anybody on his team, but still rarely pitches. They need to fire their manager.
White Sox-
The only good player on the lineup is Zaza Harvey, Name Of The Year, who has hit .359 and has 1 HR and 26 RBI. And then you have the added bonus of the fact that he's 22. The first thing you notice when you see the pitching is Clark Griffith, who has a 1.70 ERA in a world of .350 + hitters. The question mark on the guy is that he's 31 and he's only 3-4. But the sensation of the future is 24 year old Roy Patterson and his 2.60 ERA and 6-4 record. The Sox need to rebuild on Harvey and Patterson.
Senators-
First off- What the heck is Dale Gear doing in the 3 spot? He's hitting .215! .215! And right behind him is .356 and 2 HR Bill Everitt! The rest of the lineup would rather me not say anything about them. The pitching looks like this:
NAME ERA IP W L
Win Mercer 4.16 101.2 5 8
Bill Carrick 5.52 89.2 5 7
Case Patten 4.26 95.0 5 5
Yep. Your 1901 Washington Senators.
Tigers-
The worst team in the league. The only person who is NOT HITTING BELOW .300 is BACKUP Harry Lochhead. Other than him, the team leaders are a .286 average and 1 HR, 27 RBI and 11 SB. And then there was the pitching which is--- AAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!! *At this point the writer faints*. Bad.
