You're kind of missing the point. It doesn't matter if St. Nick was really white, black, or green. Santa Claus is a made up story we tell children about a jolly man who drives a flying reindeer sleigh and delivers presents to every child in the world in one night. There isn't anything wrong with depicting Santa with different skin tones.
