Last season this world was known as Spawn. After the roll our commissioner abandoned his team and world without a word. Sensing collapse a total of 17 other owners went with him. I came on board as commish to try and salvage this hollow hull of a fantasy world. We gathered donations from generous vets who remained, lured back some previous owners, offered a couple $25 Gift Cards to the new owners who improved their teams the most, and proceeded to fill the world's 18 openings  in just 12 days. In this HBD economy that's a bloody miracle. 

We rebranded as Crash Davis after the lovable veteran minor league catcher from Bull Durham played by Kevin Costner, and started a blog, The Crash Pad. We've just gone through our first season after regrouping and we are stronger for the experience, solidifying some old rules and adding new ones to make us stronger.

Here are the Crash Davis Private World Rules (simplified)

1. We are overseen by the Commissioner and governed by a 5 owner Executive Committee.

2. Anti-tanking:

No back to back 100 lost seasons.
No 120 loss seasons.
Prospect budget must not exceed ML player spending in any season.

3. Minor league maintenance: Keep your minors groomed and well-fed or you are outa here.

4. Personal attacks on chat will not be tolerated.
