I actually think that squad has just enough assists (in the starting lineup, anyway).  I consistently overlook how useful Terry is.

pretty happy with the team....struck out on all the sfs i wanted but im getting 40 solid mins of d/boards from the birdman/edge combo...first time using mullin in this league..interested to see how he does as shaqs sidekick and how many ftas he ends up getting...need a big year from him if im gonna make a run at the division...lucas is gonna blow up on this squad...got him right where i like him as the 4th highest usg player and next to a big time scorer in shaq...hate not having a big time ast% pg but i should have just enough passing to keep the offense rolling...everything looks pretty tight(boards are solid, tons of 3s,decent d,good floor balance) but it just doesnt look as scary as other teams...i kinda wish i went with mcadoo in the 2nd instead..i think i could have built a more dynamite squad with that combo down low...or i really would have loved to have the foresight to know dirk was gonna go in the 6th...that would be a fun combo

That Mullin season should be absolutely amazing, but I was a little disappointed with it when I used it. I think I had too much usage on that team, though (I feel like I had 4 20+ guys in the starting lineup - Mullin, McHale, Frazier, and undrafted SF).  Only problem I see with that team is a lack of defensive flexibility, which could hurt against teams that have a good SG/PF combo (since Mullin and Lucas will be locked in guarding the 2 and 4 given your current starting lineup). D is pretty good at the other positions, though. Assists are lower than I'd want, but not bad. Looks like a contender for a division title.

lucas is 92% at sf so ill be having him guard the weaker forward...same thing with mullin in the backcourt....i dont mind them dropping a few pts on d to get the better defender on the scorers...edge can also guard sgs so i can move mullin on to sfs when theyre both in
1/6/2014 9:53 PM
That'll put them down in the low 40s or high 30s on D - either way it's a bit of a weak point. But only a small one.

I think ash was pretty on point with the eval.  It's a team with a ton of usage, but I don't mind because of the 3 highest guys, they are all super-low TOV% guys (Kobe 10.9%, Brandon 10.1%, Brand 9.3%) who are all similar in their efficiency so no matter who the SIM gives shots too, I should be consistent each game.  I am hoping to maintain a solid enough eFg% with a nice Ast%  and I think I can generate enough points with the Ast% and low TOV that will work favorably in the sim.

OReb% is a huge weakness, which Ash indirectly pointed out when he found fault with drafting Mason after Brand, essentially giving me 2 SF. But I just love Mason's Ast/Def profile and I think with Russell out there 45 min per game, I might have just enough OReb not to be a completely fatal flaw. But I probably should have taken Unseld over Mason...  DReb% is robust however. Can't have everything I suppose.  Overall, it's a team with a pretty high floor IMO, but I doubt I am winning a title with this one.

Low orebs, but nice D and 3's and FTs.   Maybe just make the playoffs.

not bad, sly, but a little light on assists for my taste. Offense should be OK anyway, though. Rebounds are good, but not as dominating as you'd expect from the frontcourt due to low backcourt boards. Defense is probably good enough, maybe some slight issues in the backcourt. IMO it's a 40-45 win team, not really bad at anything but not sure it's a contender.
Thanks for the perspective heel. I'm not really too worried about the assists. I pretty much concur with your assessment of my squad.

Ashey did not do an eval for me. My heart is bleeding. I think ashey knows I'm going to win and therefore ashey is afraid to say it.

I think Ash is a better draft citizen than you are

Only the champions have the right to do the official evals so there's no fear here of 98average ever having to do them LOL! As far as the 98average current . . . squad it feels like a 48 game winner to me.

Thanks Vance for posting my proxy.

The below is likely to be my squad, however I’m still considering different versions of a few guys and may still opt for the 40D 6-point Ray Allen.

As it stands now this team will test the lower limits of the WIS personal foul distribution. I’ve never seen a team here get below 16 pf per game, but the RL pf rate of this squad is only .059, putting it at least 25% below 20 or so teams in the league and as much as 50% below a few.

I’ll likely just run just these 7 guys, and six of them pass, so my ast% will average near 90 and be over 100 a lot of the time. Durant’s offense will be maximized and my team RL FGA/FTA ratio is in the 2.5 range, so he should lead the league in FTM.

Name Team Pos Usage% 2pt%# 3pt%# eFG% OReb% DReb% Ast% Stl% Blk% D
Kevin Durant 12-13 Thunder SF 30 53.7 41.4 55.9 1.7 18.9 15.2 1.7 1.9 78
Jerry West 70-71 Lakers PG 25.5 52.6 35.1 52.3 2.6 7.2 24.3 1.9 0.3 90
Ray Allen 00-01 Bucks SG 24.5 50.9 43.2 55.7 3.5 11.1 15.2 1.8 0.4 50
Deron Williams 07-08 Jazz PG 23.4 53 39.3 54.4 1.3 8 34.2 1.4 0.5 70
Tayshaun Prince 07-08 Pistons SF 20.5 46.1 36.1 47.6 4.6 12.4 13.4 0.8 0.8 80
Wes Unseld 72-73 Bullets C 14.2 50.8 33.2 50.7 10.7 25.9 12.1 1.2 2.2 55
Reggie Evans 12-13 Nets PF 11.1 47.7 0 47.9 14.6 35.7 3 1.8 0.4 29

Evans will keep the rebounds very competitive in the beginning and end of games, major disadvantage when he’s not on the court of course, but we will see if my significant advantages in other areas are enough to compensate. IMO this team will contend for a division title, especially if it ends up in a division with mainly high pf rate squads.
