ultimate random as possible progressive needs 1 Topic

The Ultimate Random as Possible Progressive started in MLB with Cheno5. The idea was to simulate the unpredictability of a season. You don't know, when you assemble your roster if your veteran point guard has another year in the tank or if your rookie center will live up to his projections. This league was created to examine that, and to have fun, of course.

Each year, we each lose two players to free agency, determined by www.random.org. So there are always talented players available in every draft. Season two's draft had Wilt, Kareem, Rodman, Moses Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon get drafted, for example.

We then determine each player's season using the same method, drawing random seasons from random.org. So you could get Jordan in his prime, or Jordan with the White Sox.

If this sounds like something interesting to you, we have one team available, all ready to go. The roster is below. The first set of numbers is the range of the player's career (92 counts as the year 92-93 for example for ease of formatting) and the second number is the season this player drew.

Mitch Richmond 88-01: 92-93
Bill Laimbeer 80-93: 88-89
Bernard King 77-92: 79-80
Chris Bosh 3-12: 11-12
Bob Dandridge 69-81:75-76
Lenny Wilkins 60-74: 64-65
Moses Malone 74-94: 79-80
Hot Rod Williams 86-98: 88-89
Fat Lever 82-93: 90-91
Jack Sikma 77-90: 86-87
Doc Rivers 83-95: 91-92
Theo Ratliff 95-10: 99-00

Fat Lever and Bernard King both drew missing seasons. The previous owner had selected to players to replace them, but you could feel free to redraw from the available player pool instead. The two players selected are

Avery Johnson 88-03: 98-99
Arman Gilliam 87-99: 91-92

If you choose to replace one or both, I will redraw the seasons. If you choose to keep them, they will keep those years. At the end of the season, these two players will be automatically released back into the free agent pool, along with your two free agents.
