Are there leagues that new players without a championship
could be in and not have to fight with 4 or 5 guys with 100;s of championships
that join these. I know its  you can play anywhere you want game  but its hard to play when guys who have 150 championships  are 30  games in front after 50 games...  gets discouraging to play and pay...
I tried the beginners league and 3 players showed up with tons of championships

markg262, look at the Theme League Classifieds and the Progressive Leagues. 

In particular, jimcraven74's theme league called "no cookies" MLB107623 (use the "edit league option" at the top of your team's draft center page and then click "existing theme league" and put that number including the MLB prefix with no spaces in between) allows only owners with 5 championships or fewer and does not allow certain "cookie" players that are overused in Open Leagues that are part of the strategy of veteran champion owners. 

There are two spaces left in that league now, so you might be able to get a team in now.

There are a usually a couple of "Win your first championship" league's in the forums.  Also are you interested in Progresives???
