Open scholarship players. Can I just cut them ? Topic

I left four open scholarships and got three maybe four guys I don't want on the team. Can I just cut them in the off season seeing I did not recruit them?

You can cut up to 3 per season. You will take a hit to your reputation, but it's worth it if you plan to stay at the school for a while.

I rescinded three scholarships at the end of my third season. They were sim recruits. It dropped my rep from A+ to A. Im at the end of the fourth season and back to A+.
