I am trying to coordinate my work schedule so that I am off the evening that recruiting starts-does anyone know how to figure out when the next recruiting cycle will start? I know we are just starting the tournament, but if I can figure it out now, perhaps I can schedule off for that evening of the opening cycle. Thanks!

I've had that come up before and starting calculating the number of days on a spreadsheet. Here's what should be the dates for next season:

You can also look at the world timeline (the skinny bar under the "office," "coaching," "recruiting," etc tabs).  If you add add 5 days to the renewal deadline (the date furthest to the right), that's when day 1 of recruiting is.

Update: so I am realizing conflicting dates. Mroylanc believes March 4th is the date recruiting starts. Darnoc believes it is March 5th. Customer Support 'guessed' it is March 5th as well. Any concensus?

I think it's March 4....

NT title game tonight - 2/27
jobs start 2/28 - 3/1 - 3/2 (technically jobs start 2/27 @ 11:59pm)
open to public jobs 3/3 - 3/4 (until 4pm)
3/4 6pm recruiting starts

and actually, the information by both coaches above is consistent --- renewal deadline is 2/27  --- add 5 days (2/28, 3/1, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4) and you get start day of 3/4 (the 5th day after renewal)

In Phelan the pattern was 2/25 NT title game
2/26 jobs start - 2/27, 2/28
3/1 - 3/2 open to public jobs
and the tab says recruiting starts 3/2 (this world has the advantage of turning over already so the pattern can be verified).  And no, it doesn't matter that it's a 2/day world - same off season rate of change.

Fairly confident customer support is wrong.

My mistake. You are right Brian, both are saying the same thing. I am going to contact CS again just to see how they respond.

Just an update to close the loop - you guys were correct and customer support's first answer was wrong. They told me that recruiting would start 'around March 5th'. They said this was correct, give or take a day. I thought to myself 'REALLY? This is the best answer?'. I then pressed them further, and urged them to ask a back line analyst. They forwarded the ticket, and a few days later I was given the March 4th date.
Hard to believe the initial answer I was given. I don't think I will ever use customer support again, unless it is to fix something broken.

An easier way to think about it: a season lasts 50 days. That means if this recruiting period started on a Tuesday, the next one starts in 7 weeks on a Wednesday, the next in 7 weeks on a Thursday, the next in 7 weeks on a Friday etc etc. Just keep adding one day and it's simple.
