What are average Range Factors for each Position? I am looking, but have not found any info. I may have overlooked it. Trying to figure out if my defense is good enough to look for Groundball Pitchers. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Edit roster, click a player's position.  You'll get this:

If the team is the Sluggers, no.  You need a SS.

And those are averages.   You'll probably want better.   85 across the board at SS.   Higher AS at 2B.   70-75 at 3B.     And, if you want to rack up + plays at 1B, 60+ R/G there.

I took his post as range factors, as in the RF stat under a player's fielding box....

In that case, look at "league leaders" under "stats/awards".   Sort by position. 

I took the original post to be looking for what should be a reasonable number for his players to achieve. It's kind of the wrong question to ask; what you should be looking at is how your players stack up against the others in your world. So yes as Mike suggests, sort the league leaders and find out where your players sit.

Since the OP is also interested in groundball pitchers, he might also want to check his team pitching stats, find out what his staff is good and poor at.

Not that I really feel compelled to explain my first, or second, response but I've found that many newer users use "stats" and "ratings" interchangeably.   I assumed the OP was looking for ratings that would be above average for each position.    He's been using Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Daniel Tresh at SS so I don't think he has a full understanding of defensive ratings. 

Thanks for the input. Don't want Tresh at SS, trust me. But on a team with a SS that is on the DL multiple times, had to do what was needed..

I wouldn't base much of anything on Range Factor.  I've had gold glove shortstops with only average range factor.  I don't have the evidence to support, but I suspect it's because my 3b and 2b were also gold glovers.  (who also had mediocre range factors).   I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any other theories.

Your SS could have very high range but if you have a staff of strikeout and/or flyball pitchers that will result in less grounders for your infielders. That's something to consider.
