Pulling data for spreadsheets Topic

Anyone tried this program?  http://lifehacker.com/import-io-turns-web-pages-into-a-useable-data-table-1575960031/all
I am not on my home computer so haven't tried it but it seems like it would be great to pull recruit data and/or roster data into a database very quickly rather than cutting and pasting or building your own code from scratch.

I am getting ready to look at it now .. but once you have the data in a database, you would still need to interface some kind of client to get the data and perform calculations (either a spreadsheet or database like excel / access for microsoft (or calc / base for libreoffice, or sheets for google apps, etc.)
