This will be the 32nd installment of The Yarnell Invitational (named after Yarnell Ice Cream in Searcy, AR). As always, it'll be a 6 team round-robin tournament that will occur in weeks 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the non-conference schedule. Harding University will be the tournament host. The defending champ from the previous year is an automatic qualifier. The remainder of the field is invitation only partly based on alblack's dynasty rankings. Link to latest and greatest is at:

IF YOU ARE AT OR CLOSE TO THE TOP OF THE DYNASTY RANKINGS AND INTERESTED IN PLAYING IN THIS TOURNAMENT, KEEP NON-CONF GAME #'s 5 THROUGH 9 OPEN UNTIL NOTICE THIS TOURNAMENT IS FULL.

Formal Invitations will be sent out sometime after job application period is over, but you can reply now if you plan to play in this tournament.

@brianxavier I remember sinking a CV, a couple calls, and an offer in Erin Christensen a couple of recruiting seasons ago. Then your name showed up on him next cycle. I was totally shut out.  That kid had 11 off the bench last night. Your team is young. Bright future.

Lander goes into a very tough place to win and put on a clinic. SMU never threatened. Undefeated Hillsdale College is next.

shibby. Lander got a serious challenge to their walk through this tournament (and season) undefeated. Lander 36-point favorites in round 3. Not sure I've ever seen a line that high in the Yarnell. A buzzsaw of a team. Hillsdale travels to Harding for a Top 25 matchup.

Harding just couldn't get over the hump. Hillsdale led entire 2nd half except for a few ties. Last tie was 52 all with 2:18 left. End game on 9-2 run. Fantastic defense team at Hillsdale. Harding travels to Lander to attempt to revenge two losses in OT last year, the last of which was in the Elite 8.

S Parrish from St Mary's TX having an impressive run in this tournament.

That said, I think Lander may have the best 5 players in the tournament.

Lander held Michael Lewis scoreless in 1st half and rolled to the Yarnell title. Lewis got 19 in 2nd half, but it was too late. Fantastic team Lander.
