Then wait.   If the huge IFA doesn't show and your 2m can't help you get one, sign the guy.   Assuming he's not LH, he could play 2B.   Or be a very good fielding LF/RF.

different draft related question--if I'm scouting 20 college 0 HS should I just completely ignore the HS guys?  I only see a handful but one of them look legitimately like a top 5 pick and his current ratings make it seem at least halfway plausible.  I don't draft until late first round.

If they're worth having, they won't be there when you pick.   I ignore 0 scouted players unless they're already BL-ready.

I like him a little better than Mike does; he runs well.  If you run your basestealing aggressive he's a very nice bench COF/1B.  I'd arb him the season he asks for ~$1.5M, but not the following season.

the replacement level for LF is really high, so he's not necessarily super or anything but he'll give you a solid 3-5 ML seasons for the minimum and that's ample value for the picks around pick 25 imo, and maybe he would even net you a comp pick at the end of it
