ATBA - filled 1981-82 prog Topic

The ALL-TIME Basketball Assoc. has an immediate team available
The ATBA is a single year draft progressive.  The inaugural draft covered the years
1951-1967.  Each player was drafted as a rookie and progresses one career year
each season.
At this point nearly all of the inaugural rookie players drafted have retired
and the league has become a single season progressive.

The Season 14 regular season has just concluded and the playoffs have begun.
The Season 15 rookie draft is all set to go.

Yukon Huskies -  23-59 will be selecting #6 overall (1981 rookie draft)
'81-'82 George T. Johnson
'81-'82 Foots Walker
'81-'82 Kenny Higgs
'81-'82 T.R. Dunn
'81-'82 Lonnie Shelton
'81-'82 Phil Ford
'81-'82 Michael Cooper
'81-'82 James Bailey
'81-'82 Kiki Vandeweghe
'81-'82 Jeff Wilkins
CUT - '81-82 James McElroy - PG

This team finished Season 14 with a 23-59 record and will be drafting with the #6 overall pick.  The news isn't as gloomy as their
S14 record might indicate.  Coop & Dunn are both shut down backcourt defenders both with bright futures ahead.  Foots, Ford
& Higgs though not spectacular will do a nice job at PG for the upcoming Season 15.  Remember this is a single year progressive.
Lonnie Shelton plays his two best years this season and next.  Very good defender and hi % shooter.
Kiki is well Kiki.  A high usage scorer who shoots well over 50% for many seasons to come.  The problem is immediately evident.
He suffers from Westhead disease on defense.  His 1981 Def rating is 19!  He scores and then watches as the other team responds in kind.
The front court is the teams weakness.  James Bailey is one of the best big men off the bench in this league.
He has 5 very good years ahead.  Unfortunately on this team he will have to start at least for this season.
George T. is a valuable asset at Center.  The bad news is this is his last productive season.
Wilkins will see time at Center but like Kiki he watches as the other team runs it's offense.  He is the best
in bound passer in the league though.
There will be immediate help in the upcoming draft with the 6th overall pick in the 1981 rookie draft.
This team has some nice pieces and this is a trade happy league.

Let me know if your interested and I'll give you immediate access to our private league forum.
The draft is all set to go and will begin VERY SOON.

Draft update - Buck Williams, Larry Nance, and Isiah Thomas have been taken with the top 3 selections.  That means this team will either be adding someone like Danny Ainge, Mark Aguirre, or Tom Chambers, or trading the pick for a package of multiple picks and /or players.

seapilots runs a great League.  Always well-organized and timely, with very little turnover.

Come join the fun.
