If i promote a prospect after call ups to get him 3 or 4 starts in the majors, will there be any negative effects of demoting him back to AAA either at the end of the season or the beginning of next?

i think a demotion penalty is possible. not worth it IMO. i'd only promote a prospect to ML when they are 100% ready and i plan on keeping them there

I've asked the same question recently - if it's after roster expansion, and you demote them before the playoffs end, there would be no penalty.

No demotion penalty if you demote him in the offseason, i.e. before ST starts next season.
