A friend of mine only recently told me he grew up in the old house in Brooklyn where Sandy Koufax had previously lived when the Dodgers played there.

He has a copy of Koufax's Selective Service card (military draft for those of you too young to know what that means).

Anyone in the field of these sorts of sales? What might it be worth?

If that card had the name of "Cassius Clay" on it,
it'd be worth a whole lot more...

However (seriously), don't waste alot of time on
expect'n the internet 2 help U... Cut 2 the chase,
& contact the Los Angeles Dodgers, in any way
that U can... Don't give-up, & flood their phone,
regular mail, & e-mails... Somewhere along the
way, it should get some attentions...

The single best person who would know exactly
what 2 do w/ that card, is Vin Scully... U may not
end-up deal'n w/ him directly, but others, within
that organization would surely pass along all the
good advice from Vinny...

That man is EVERYTHING to baseball... No kid'n.

A 33-year-old slice of cake from Prince Charles and Princess Diana's
1981 wedding has sold at auction for $1,375... Thatsa' headline !!!...

No one @ "Pawn Stars" is gonna' give U that kinda' money w/o a type
of certificate of authenticity, or validity associated w/ the Dodgers... &
besides the fact that "Pawn Stars" is always a "losing" 2-man auction,
U would again be wasting time, efforts, & money think'n that television
is gonna' help where the internet cannot help...

Acknowledged that frazzman's light-heart'd attempt @ humor, wasn't
meant 2 be taken seriously, but the ONLY real worth of that "SKoufax"
card will be determined by whatever efforts U & your buddy undertake
to make it as valuable as U possibly can... Again, find a path 2 Vinny...

If he really wants to sell the thing put it on EBay with about a 30 day window and pay I little extra to expose the listing over and above standard. I guarantee he will receive what it's actually worth.

I'm not sure if draft cards bear the owner's signature, but if Sandy signed this, it could be worth $500-$750 IMO.  A reputable auction house specializing in HOF memorabilia would be able to give you an idea.  Have him check out Sports Collectors Digest's website for some referrals.
