Part 2 of the late preview
7. Wabash - Coach indyrider123 has this team close to the top 6 , but they might be playing under their abilities on the floor a little bit. Floyd Lorentzen , and Jeremy Taylor are top tier talent in the North Coast conference. Albert Beall is a up and comer along with Robert Bolan who will be good to great for seasons to come. George Coston as a junior provides some punch also. The questions are will the role players play up to the rest of the talent and take Wabash to the next level we will see.
8. Grove City- Coach timjmiller is looking to fill some answers to questions on how his team will compete on a nightly basis. Aaron Stafford and Kevin Blazer will be the answers to two of those questions making up one of the better frontcourts in North Coast Conference. Gregory Boynton will handle the point guard duties , only thing with him might him defending the guards in the conference its one of his weak areas. But coach timejmiller loves his grit and has classified Boynton has one of his leaders on the club and has gotten into a few teammates face when he sees hustle and the desire lacking on the court. A very young team who will get better as they age and get experience.
9. Wittenberg- Coach Lukey4 before the season told jenny craig beat reporter for North Coast conference, "We will be as good as thunder(John Vogan) and Lightning (Merrill Allen) will make us if they are playing well we will be in a lot of games and win some of those close ones we might lose." Joshua Pinette is a very underrated junior a guy who's athletic , plays defense , has some handles and can knock down a few shots. This team is very young in the backcourt especially at the 2 guard and the wing. Coach Lukey4 has them running the sprints and working on the defensive side of the ball.
10. Thiel - Coach jduke3 has a young group , Michael Morris 12ppg as a sophomore has been a great surprise thru non conference will continue to improve once his defense on guards improves and his overall mid range game. Carl Bittinger is a solid 4. Plays defense , can shoot also passes well for a #4. Leonard Adamski is a solid 5 and Rufus Hendricks will only get better as the season goes along.
11. Oberling- Coach warrior0510- as a very very young group - 6 freshman. From his vets though Chester Wakefield can light it up but might give up 20 points per game also. James Golden is a legit lock down defender. Steven Bigham has the potential to be a very good guard down the road. But this team could be a season or two away from winning a division and getting to the big dance. PT might be a season away if they get a few breaks here and there.
12. Allegheny- Coach Piratesfan23 as the tallest task in the conference , 10-17 with 3 wins in conference coming off an amazing 1-26 season by johnnyf.(f for fail) There's a huge bright spot in senior Lawrence Winston who probably one of the better wings in the conference. Clyde Flynt putting up some solid numbers as a freshman and Julius Giglio continuing to work on his low post game might be a factor later in the season with his shooting percentage going up. The cheerleaders have been sober this year more cause of a decent start but might be going back to their drinking ways near the end of the year. Soon as piratesfan23 builds a back court and a few more front court guys he might be a factor a season or two down the line.
