Progressive League - First Season - 1976

In 1976 the NBA and ABA merged creating for the most part, the NBA that we know today.  It makes the perfect year to start a progressive league from.  The league will start in 1976 and continue until we reach the last year available.  At that time, we'll gauge if there is interest to continue the progressive league one season at a time, as the NBA plays it's season.  

Minutes will be an issue until the next NBA expansion so we'll be using scrubs from other years to fill out rosters as needed.

RULES:
- No Salary Cap.
- Draft will be 1-24, then 24-1, etc.
- No WW.
- Trades are allowed.
- For the initial season, the draft order will be determined by random.org.
- For subsequent seasons, the draft order will be determined by a lottery, using the NBA's current protocol.  We will also use random.org for this.  This will also help to avoid tanking.
- The trading of draft picks will be allowed, but you won't be allowed to trade two years in a row of 1st round draft picks (like the real NBA).
- You will not be allowed to trade draft picks that are over 3 years away from the current season.
- I will attempt to keep the divisions as close to real life as possible.

Picking Your Franchise:

- Everyone will pick a franchise from the 1988-89 season because it is the first year with at least 24 teams.  If a team moves or changes a name in a certain season, you will also change your team name and/or stadium.  Everyone will keep the same franchise the entire length of the progressive league and will not be allowed to be changed under any circumstances. In order to make the league more attractive to join, I will pick my franchise last. The franchise names will only be aesthetic, you will not be allowed to reserve anyone from the franchise that you pick for the initial draft.

I'm pretty sure there aren't at least 288 unique player seasons available from 1976.

I've been in a single year prog covering the late '70's.  Minutes will be an issue.  Probably will need to use scrubs
until NBA expansion.
