The ReWrite History Progressive will need an owner for 1 team in 1998 - currently the team is the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox went to the World Series in 1920 so they're a pretty good team. They went 74-88 in 1921 and pick 3rd in the 1922 Rookie Draft.
The idea of this league is to basically try to keep players only with teams they played for in their careers, though trades are allowed.
The FIRST FOUR rounds of every draft ....rookies can only be drafted by teams they played for (according to Baseball-Reference.com). Free agents left over from past seasons can be taken by any team in any round
Each year I provide a list of rookies with the teams that are eligible to draft them...so it makes it easy for owners
After round 4 anyone can draft anyone, including rookies. This means that the best players start their careers only with teams they played for.
Those restrictions are released, however, for trades, as anyone can be traded to anyone.
1922 will be the fourth season for the league.
Franchises not currently used:
National League
Cubs
Dodgers
American League
Browns
Senators
**** Any franchise move for CURRENT OWNERS does not come into effect until after a full season of play once the announcement is made. This prevents teams from moving to a new city simply because the upcoming draft has a great player they could grab ****
HOWEVER
*******if a NEW OWNER wants to take one of the franchises and immediately move to a city not currently in the league, that would be allowed**********
