So how would people feel if the cap was lowered to 45 mil? I'm sure many of the owners of "lesser " franchises know you literally cant use all the money in 20000 minutes or less?

Ill take the NEW ORLEANS JAZZ (because Utah Jazz still makes no sense to me, plus I loved those N.O. uniforms).
People always complain about that even though I've never stumbled across a Wizard when I was in DC or been astounded by the number of lakes in LA.

I am partial to the $48M cap, while I think $45 might attract some folks I suspect it would turn off more who would have too hard a time drafting.  And I do think you can draft very strong "lesser" teams at $48M,  For example Mavs won their division last season.

The Mav's are not a lesser team. They won a championship just 5 years ago. I would argue a lower cap opens up the possible competitive use of defunct ABA franchises like the Virginia squires.

And id love to take on the pelicans/hornets franchise but beyond Anthony Davis and Chris Paul you just cant spend all that money. Seriously I cant be the only guy here that notices this with multiple franchises. The defunct Stars are another that would be awesome with rookie Moses Malone for example . How about BAA franchises? Nationals for Example? Yeah no go.

This is a very good League at $48 million. At least 1 "lesser" team, that 20+ guys pass on always seem to make a Playoff run.
Never a dull moment, and things never go "as expected".
Come join the fun.

Didn't realize this was first come first serve -thought there was a draft order for returning owners. I'll give the Indiana Pacers a run.

Indiana and New Orleans can be in the Central together, right?
